Child Care

Holmes County Department of Job and Family Services' Child Care services covers part of the cost of child care for children of eligible caretakers (parents) who are either working or in school.

Providers are required to meet health, safety and training standards, ensuring parents have access to safe, quality child care while they are at work or in school. HCDJFS maintains a current list of all certified/licensed individual providers and child care centers in Holmes County.

Ultimately, Child Care helps ensure children are safe while parents work toward financial stability.

Eligibility is based on gross income and family size. Children must be under the age of 13, or if they have special needs, under the age of 18. Children must also meet citizenship requirements.
